Our Results

Our year long, anti-violence program prevents youth violence and crime by equipping youth with mental health education and emotional regulation, coping skills, conflict resolution and impulse control techniques, and leadership opportunities.
 
Since 2020, we have served 1,100 children in Pittsburgh and hosted 250 program sessions.

Community Impact

In 2024, Imagine Further Collective partnered with RefocusEd and The Pittsburgh Contingency to implement a two-year research project to understand if and how mental illness prevention programs impact youth crime and violence.   

 

The Duquesne University Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership has provided a preliminary qualitative report showing the impact of IFC programming throughout the 2024-2025 school year which can be downloaded here.

Our 2024 program data indicates that:

 

  • 77% of participants made a new friend

  • 70% of participants learned something new about themselves

  • 44% of participants learned a new way to handle stress;

  • 50% of participants can identify and provide an example of resilience
